Hi, I'm Julia Davis of Julia Max Designs!

I received my BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University in 2013. After graduating, my first venture into the design world was designing home accessories for a home décor company in my hometown of Philadelphia. It was extremely gratifying seeing my own designs in stores and especially decorating people’s homes – it truly warmed my heart to see others displaying my creations!

Life took me in a different direction in 2016 when my now-husband received military orders to San Diego. I moved across the country with him and started working as a designer at a handbag company. The world of fashion was brand new and exciting to me. I loved the fast-paced environment of keeping up with trends that were constantly changing. And what girl doesn’t love cute handbags!

In 2017, my husband and I moved again – this time across the world to Okinawa, Japan! Moving this far away was a challenge for me because I wanted to keep up with my design passions, but having a full-time American-based job is next to impossible living overseas. I also struggled with homesickness. I realized that, aside from part-time freelance work, I could use my extra time to not only create artwork, but also fill my Philly void! I started illustrating Philadelphia scenes and illustrations, which both helped with my homesickness and led to a “phantastic” collection that I want to share with the world!

I hope you enjoy my designs as much I as enjoyed creating them!
